The female character in the composition is the artist's interpretation of this ancestral spirit – a gentle and humble being, ready to carry the entire forest and the village hidden in its heart in her arms. She makes her back a shield against the storm and the wind, and the fir trees are like her brothers. She herself is a shelter for the cottages in the village, an embodiment of the deep connection between man and nature. The message of the work is a call to cherish and protect everything that defines us: our values, roots and identity.
