GAVRIIL ARTIST BIO

I am from Chisinau, Moldova. I attended and graduated from the “Igor Vieru” High School of Fine Arts in Chisinau, where the most important stage of my artistic formation took place.

Although my personal style has evolved towards a freer artistic expression, the academic foundations and the principles of Impressionism and Eastern European Realism, studied during high school, have remained deeply rooted, continuing to influence my artistic language to this day. Another part of my training also took place in Italy, at “Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia”. The human figure has always been a personal interest, serving as a central element in many of my works and studies. I am less concerned with color, giving higher priority to the texture of materials and the medium in my art.
I enjoy combining the rigor and discipline of academic art with the freedom of expression found in contemporary art—an approach that led to the creation of the series of works in the “CC CLASH” collection.

My artistic interests are not limited to traditional art but also include design, illustration, digital illustration, and graphic art.
I am co-founder and member of the artist group U3.
